The band and I played a marathon of three shows last Saturday, May 11th.  The day started with my solo acoustic performance at Mars Brew House, and then I met up with Dan and Steve to play at The McKees Rocks Feastival and then Caliente in Bloomfield.  It was exhausting, but I'd do it again in a heart beat!

Tomorrow, May 11th is going to be a huge day for us!  It all starts at 11am at Mars Brew House with a solo show by Ray Lanich, then The Ray Lanich Trio (Ray, Dan, and Steve) is playing the McKees Rocks "Feastival" at 3pm and Caliente in Bloomfield at 10pm.

Tonight, I am the featured performer at The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern in Pgh!  I go on at 9pm.  No cover (21+)

The band and I had an amazing time performing at Club Café in Pittsburgh last Saturday, May 4, 2013.  Thanks to the die-hard fans who came out, Opus One Productions, Denny, Jeremy Caywood, and The Semi-Supervillians!

Tonight, Dan and I will be sharing the stage at Riley's Pour House in Carnegie, PA playing our hearts out and then some. Stop in, grab a pint, and sing along! There is no cover, and the show is from 8pm until 10:30pm.

For those who always say "I really need to come to one of your shows," well, I'm calling you out to come see Ray Lanich Band at Club Cafe in South Side Pgh this Saturday.  The cover is only $5, the doors open at 10, and the show starts at 10:30.  I won't accept excuses.  Get a sitter, sleep in Sunday, and get your butt to the show!!

Tonight!  Ray Lanich Band will be sharing the bill with Highway 4 at Hambone's in Pgh (Lawrenceville). The show starts at 9:30, and please help the bands with a donation!!

This Saturday, Ray Lanich Band will be joined by Highway 4 for a great night of original and classic rock at Hambone's in Pittsburgh (Lawrenceville)!

Clarion!  I'm ready to throw down some tunes for you!

Carnegie, my new home away from home, I hope to hang with you all tonight at Riley's Pour House where Dan Gibson and I will be laying it down from 8-10:30!

I'm on iHeart Radio!  Holy crap!  Tell your friends!  There are some other great artists on my channel too!!

We had a blast playing 99 Bottles in Carnegie, PA last Friday.  The crowd, staff, and owners were amazing, and we can't wait to come back in May!

This Sunday, March 24 Ray Lanich Band is opening up an amazing night at The Thunderbird Cafe in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA!  The bill also consists of Mo Nelson Band, The Semi-Supervillians, and headliners, The Enemies - featuring guitarist Colin O'Donoghue walk-on star of ABC's "Once Upon a Time".  With only a $6 cover, how can you go wrong?

My heart goes out to all those involved in the horrific events that happened in Connecticut today.

There has been so much hype about the Mayan calendar ending on 12/21/2012 being a sign that the world will end that day.  The History Channel has even added a countdown to The Apocalypse to their programming.  What are your predictions for 12/21/2012?  Do you really think the world will end or is it all just hype?

Last night ended up being one of the luckiest nights in my life.  The show went well even though getting to the gig was pretty stressful.  It started with me getting pulled over by a Cleveland cop for making an illegal u-turn to get to the venue.  Then when I was trying to park my car in this crazy, narrow parking lot in an even narrower alley, I accidently rubbed fenders with a parked SUV that just happened to belong to an employee of the venue.  Someone must have been looking out for me, or I cashed in all of my good karma points.  The cop let me go with a warning (my new best friend), and the girl was amazingly cool about her car since there was only a little trading of paint.

I shall spin a tale my friends of the open mic at a joint called Club Cafe in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Fifty poor souls like myself flock to this establishment every Monday to bid for the chance to perform two songs for no pay.  Your only prayer of getting on stage is to arrive two and a half hours before the doors open.  Arriving at the store front that houses this increasingly notorious display of desperate musicians is when fun only begins.  One takes to the curb with the false notion that they are first in line only to be confronted twenty minutes later by another "fellow" musician who tells you your second in line, for he arrived an hour before and left an imaginary ghost at the door to save his spot.  Then the hosts of this singer/songwriter showcase arrive and are let in the door before the endless line outside to sign up all their friends ahead of you.  When you finally make it inside and sign up, you then face the angry servers who bitch that you only ordered a water.  Totally worth it, eh?  : )

Ladies and gentlemen, I will be sharing the bill tonight with a great band from Minneapolis called 4 on the floor at The Smiling Moose (Carson Street - Pittsburgh).  The show starts around 10pm, and if you catch me before that, I still have $10 presale tickets you can buy!

Last night's Hope to Haiti benefit at The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern (Pittsburgh) was a great time, especially the camp fire style jam on the patio after my set.  I want to thank Brittany Hautz again for inviting me to perform, and Steve and Dan for giving the audience some swag.  Derrick and Melanie - you both had killer sets!  If you were wondering what was taped on my guitar.  Jenny, my fiance's little cousin is doing a Flat Stanly unit in her second grade class.  She chose us to take pictures of her in different locations around the city.  I think she's going to be the coolest kid in her class with our pictures.  :)

I'm still figuring out all of the features of my website.  I can post pics which is sweet, and you guys can comment on my site as well!

This evening, I will be participating in The Eclipse Lounge Acoustic Open Stage (Lawrenceville).  8pm

The show is Thursday, February 9, 2012 at The Altar Bar 1620 Penn Avenue Pittsburgh (Strip District), PA

Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door

The doors open at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7:30PM

I booked a show at Club Cafe on March 30, 2012 7pm-9pm.  Club Cafe is located at 56 South 12th Street Pittsburgh (South Side), PA.  My special guests are Derrick Davila and Melanie Pomerantz who are both excellent Pittsburgh musicians.  Tickets are $5 and the doors open at 6pm.  At 7pm, Derrick will open the show and play a half hour set.  Then Melanie will play a half hour set, and then I will take the stage for the final hour.  I am posting an event on Facebook I hope you all will join to keep updated about the show.

Tonight I am going to hit up the open stages at The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern and Frankie & Georgie's in Pittsburgh.  The Calliope Open Stage at The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern starts at 9pm, and the address is 4412 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh (Bloomfield), PA.  The Purple Tuesdays Open Stage/Jam Night at Frankie & Georgie's begins at 10pm, and the address is 5832 Forward Avenue, Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill), PA.  If you're in the area tonight, stop in and see me.

There is a new music store on my Facebook page.  You just have to click the tab on the side.  I should have my new album "At Least I'm Moving" up for sale on Facebook and here on the website in the next few weeks!

This evening, I will be performing at The Eclipse Lounge's open mic night.  The club is located on 3705 Butler Street Pittsburgh (Lawrenceville), PA.  If you're in the area between 8pm and midnight you should stop in.

Tomorrow night (January 10, 2012) I will be the featured performer at The Calliope Open Stage at The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern in Pittsburgh (Bloomfield).  I will play a half hour set of original music from 9pm until 9:30pm.  After I play John, the host, will perform a couple of tunes and then turn the stage over to any artists who wish to sign up for a slot (usually 2 to 3 songs).  Remember your ID.  They card everyone!  Hope to see you tomorrow night.

Songs from the new album "At Least I'm Moving" are going up tonight.  Stream the clips now for free!  The album will be available to buy hopefully in the next couple of weeks.  I am still getting it printed and signed up with my distributor.

This is something that I've really wanted to do for a long time, and I can't tell you all how happy I am to have raylanich.com up and running.  I hope you all enjoy the site, and don't forget to drop me line in the "HOW TO REACH ME" section.  Cheers, Ray
